The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, demons, and sinister influences growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them little choice but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Planners parties.

Fans can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
